Sociability

 

During my time at ACLC I noticed a big change in my social life and how I learned how to talk to people. Since the has not always been the largest you are more than likely to run into the same people for than one time in the day. So just by doing that so much I thought to myself “hmm I see these same kids every day I might as well not be a stranger to them anymore” because the school I had came from was a pretty big school and I didn't really know everyone there so there was not really a reason for me to talk as much. Until I walked up to the ole ACLC.

 

Integrity and Honesty

Well I can tell you this I am not a liar for one I do not see what’s the point in lying to someone. If you're not gonna tell the truth then don’t make up some lie. See me I don't lie I just tend to say what I am doing  but I’m not going to say who im with if you do not ask. But I will be honesty and tell you if you are sure to ask me it is what I have done. So it’s not like I’m hiding the truth from you or anything you just didn't ask me anything about it.

 

New Basics

Speaking

With speaking that just comes so natural to me because I talk so much. Yeah I’m no stranger to a new conversation I some what like having those also meeting new people is always so fun. It lets you get to know someone else and how they are during the day and see what they are like and see if they are like me.

 

Arts

An art I learned I had is the ability to act like i am someone else. So since i've been here I known that i can pass for a pretty good actor also everyone here loves me like when I walk around this ACLC campus I feel like the man because everyone  here enjoys having me around all of the time.  So that was a skill I picked up here because I was always late to class when I walked in there  I would act like the teacher.

 

Thinking and Reasoning Skills

Creative Thinking

Since I’ve been here at ACLC the way I look at things seems very different from how others around my age may view them. I guess it's because being here has made me into this guy I am now because the connection the students have with the teachers is the best its like you can have  a real conversation with them as a friend. Rather than an “ughh let me go talk to Mr.Blah about my grade,” it’s more like a “let’s go talk to Mr.Blah about what are we doing in class.” Because of how I think that is how it’s supposed to always be because that's how it is over here at ACLC.

 

 

 

Interpersonal Abilities

 

Teaches Others New Skills

I have taught a lot of new kids here a lot of my ways here at ACLC, like how to survive being here. Here’s how to get through the school year passing all of your classes. The first step is to build a close friendship with all of your teachers. Once that friendship is there you will make it your own deal to make sure you will not let your own friend down by not passing their class. Also build you a nice friendship with a lot of different kinds of kids a this school because there will always be someone who will know something you know nothing about, so while they help you out you could be helping them out as well.

 

Participates As A Team Member

I do whatever I can in a group project. Also in a group thing you must be able to work with all of your guys timing, so you will need to set up a time and place where you will be working together so that one person will not end up being stuck doing all of the work because there was a lack of talking about those things. Those things are very important in a group, also here at ACLC you will be doing a lot of group so that's why you will need to know all of those things.

 

Technology

 

Applies Technology To Task

Whenever I have a writing assignment I go straight to a computer and bust out that paper right then and there. That is how I perform my work I need to do on a computer and print out my paper then be all done, so any work that could be done online will not be a problem since I know how to do those things already. Also I tend to use computers to check my emails to know what I will have to do, also to check my grades to keep up with how I am doing in my classes.

 

Since I do not want to write a writing assignment with my hands because that will start to hurt a little bit,  why not type it out? Plus it's kind of faster because everything is here. For an example what if I decide to write the assignment out and when I sit it down somewhere some water spills on it I will have to write it all over again? But if I type it out and then print it and water gets on it, I can just print it out again -- simple as that.

 

In  conclusion, my time here at ACLC has been a hell of a time. I had some good days also some bad days, but it's pretty hard to have a bad time here when all the teachers have a good relationship with me. But I have learned a lot here, but the main thing I will never forget from my 7 long years here at ACLC will be to always be myself and don't be afraid to do the things I want to do. With that being said I wish everyone who comes to ACLC in the next few years that they will have an amazing time here like I did…See ya!!
